Upcoming 2018-2019 Season Race Dates

We are looking forward to an exciting year of racing in Gauteng. There is a maximum capacity of 33 teams per competition (33 JPSC teams, 33 F1 teams).
Venues for the races will be primarily hosted at Sci-Bono Science Centre Johannesburg unless you are informed of a venue change. 
The race dates below are dedicated to both the F1 in Schools and JPSC competitions.

F1 Regional Races

  • 19th January 2019 – Top 15 winners from 8th and 15th of September 2018
  • 26th of January 2019 – Top 15 winners from each competition from 13th and 20th of October.

*Each of the Regional Races will host 30 teams. These teams will be the top 15 teams from each Inter-district race. Venues for these races will be Sci-Bono.

F1 Provincial Race

23rd of February 2019 – The top 15 teams from each F1 Regional race will earn a place in the Gauteng provincial race at Sci-Bono.

  • 27-Oct-18 – Top 10 winners from each competition from 4th, 8th September and 15th of September

JPSC Provincial Race

01-Dec-18 – The top 10 teams from each JPSC Regional race will earn a place in the Gauteng provincial race at Sci-Bono

The deadlines for F1 design submissions from the Clusters are as follow:

  • Sedi-West – 17th August 2018
  • JHB – 24th of August 2018
  • Tswane – 31st of August 2018
  • Ekurhuleni – 7th September 2018
